Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and dietary needs.
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans based on individual health conditions and goals.
- Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them towards healthier eating habits and lifestyle changes.
- Monitor and adjust dietary plans as necessary, especially for patients requiring tube feeding or specialized diets.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the nutritional needs of geriatric patients and those in long-term care facilities.
- Educate patients and their families about nutrition-related topics, including weight loss strategies and healthy eating practices.
- Supervise dietary staff as needed, ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards of care.
- Stay informed about the latest research in nutrition and physiology to provide evidence-based recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of geriatric nutrition, physiology, and dietary management techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with health coaching principles is a plus.
- Ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop appropriate interventions.
