What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Service Desk Intern position at Regulated Companies?
MDU Resources is seeking an Intern to work on the IT Service Desk and, over a phased approach, learn to image devices and resolve hardware vulnerability tasks. The Intern will be paired with an Associate Endpoint Administrator as a mentor and will job shadow until able to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision, then continue to expand job responsibilities based on the mastery of assigned tasks. This position will assist with technical hardware and software service in the form of set-up, configuration, testing, installation, maintenance, operating systems and break/fix of physical/virtual endpoint and applications supported. The selected candidate will provide on-site, telephone, email, chat, and other methods of customer support for inquiries and problems and coordinate resolution efforts with other departments and staff while maintaining appropriate service records and documentation. All MDU Resources employees are responsible for placing safety as the #1 priority in their day-to-day work routine for themselves and others. This position may be eligible for scholarship funding. |

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES | ||||
The IT Service Desk Intern may get exposure to other Enterprise IT groups. This internship is located onsite at our Bismarck Corporate Campus. Hours may vary from 16-20 hours per week depending on business need and college schedule. The opportunity to work up to 40 hours may be available during school breaks and. The opportunity will be available beginning in February 2025. The exact beginning and ending dates are negotiable.
