What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipeline Welder position at Regulated Companies?
Safely performs welding and all duties associated with the construction, maintenance and operations of company pipeline, compressor, production, gathering and storage facilities. Responds to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Nothing in this job summary restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in welding, welding certificate or equivalent work experience acceptable to the Company.
Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and have the ability to work independently.
Possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license and meet applicable DOT mandated commercial driver requirements (i.e. medical card, log book).
Possess or acquire valid crane operator’s certification as required for this position.
Must be able to perform all the essential functions required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment background check and drug testing.
Travel with overnight stays.
Must pass company welder qualification test or be currently qualified.
Must be able to be certified to wear respirator if it is required to perform work.
Must pass all requirements to become DOT operator qualified in assigned tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Welding certificate.
Knowledge of natural gas pipeline related maintenance and construction activities, processes and operations including related DOT and OSHA regulations.
