Job description
SUMMARY: Responsible to build, repair, install and trouble shoot electrical systems on coal mining equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair, replace and troubleshoot electrical systems on coal mining equipment approximately 80% of their time.
- Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and blueprints to calibrate, service, repair or install electronic devices and build control panels.
- Run tests, isolate problems, and replace faulty section of wiring.
- Works within MSHA-specified guidelines to ensure his own safety and that of other workers.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling,
EQUIPMENT
- Ability to properly use hand tools including volt meters, wire strippers, etc.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to identify wires by color.
- Ability to work in various positions, including working in small spaces.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints and assembly prints.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
- Prior experience working with high voltage systems, 400-600 amps.

Pay: $28.67 - $33.00 per hour
