POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple sources, including Oracle Health (Cerner) DA2 and Tableau, to provide actionable insights for department managers. The analyst will also provide limited support for the Healthslide Boomerang interface engine, assisting with interface monitoring and troubleshooting as needed.
The role supports clinical and administrative teams to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and financial performance in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, healthcare experience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.
Starting Wage: $62,935.14/annual. The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification/Licensure:
- Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Skills/Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) DA2 and Tableau.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare interface engines and data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
- Experience with healthcare data governance and reporting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Extract, clean, and analyze data from various systems, including Oracle Health (Cerner) DA2, Tableau, and other clinical or administrative applications, to meet organizational and departmental needs.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand and prioritize data requirements for operational and clinical decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity by performing audits and validation, resolving discrepancies, and improving data accuracy for clinical and administrative reporting.
- Provide actionable insights through data analysis to support regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Train end-users on data tools, dashboards, and reporting processes to promote self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making
- Serve as a liaison between IT, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure alignment on data and reporting priorities.
- Stay current on trends in healthcare analytics, reporting tools, and interface management to bring innovative solutions to the organization.
- Monitor and provide basic support for the Healthslide Boomerang interface engine, assisting with troubleshooting and maintaining data flow between systems.
- Uses sound judgment and ensures patient safety.
- Follows and adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and guidelines, code of conduct, and REHAB employee handbook.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
