Spectrum Rehab Services is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health support to individuals in the community. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. This role involves delivering strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services in the community, with a focus on client-centered care. Responsibilities
- Provide strength-based, solution-focused supportive therapeutic services in the community.
- Deliver consumer-driven and family-oriented services within the consumers’ natural environment.
- Offer client-centered, individual Psychosocial Skills Rehabilitation (PSR) services in the community.
- Understand clients' strengths, diagnosis, treatment goals, and treatment plans.
- Assess each recipient for strengths, resources, and goals within the first 30 days of treatment; provide ongoing strength-based planning and treatment.
- Assist with 90-day reviews.
- Participate in collaborative meetings with Rehabilitation Services staff, other agencies, or community and natural supports as needed.
- Regularly communicate clients’ status, including changes in mood or functioning, medical issues, and all crisis and health and safety issues.
- Produce effective, clinical documentation of every contact with recipients.
- Submit notes on time according to policy and document all “no shows.”
- Use computer interface for documentation for billing or other purposes as needed.
- Attend all office trainings and regular clinical supervision sessions with Clinical Manager and/or Team Manager.
- Document services provided regularly, concisely, and completely in accordance with clinical standards by office deadline.
- Return phone calls promptly and follow all safety rules.
- Obtain 20 training hours as required for a full-time MHP or 16 training hours as required for a part-time MHP yearly.
- Actively participate in all evaluations conducted by Rehabilitation Services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Services, Special, Early Childhood, or Secondary Education, Family & Consumer Sciences, Criminal Justice, or Human Growth & Development.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minor in counseling, social work, sociology, or psychology.
