Infection Preventionist / Staff Development Coordinator
Responsibilities of Infection Prevention Nurse / SDC :
Identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting trends in healthcare-associated infections.
Collaborate with the facility teams and individuals to implement and sustain infection prevention strategies
Ensure compliance with the facility infection prevention and control program
Provide education and participate in the quality assessment and assurance committee.
Qualifications for Infection Prevention Nurse / SDC :
Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
Nursing license in good standing.
Associate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related field. Has completed specialized training in infection prevention and control.
Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred.
A current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Rhode Island
