What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Rehabilitation Associates, Inc.?
We have five fast paced therapy offices. We are seeking a full time medical receptionist that is a dependable, hardworking individual with great customer service. Prior experience working in a medical setting is required. Insurance and medical coding experience is preferred.
Office Hours are between 7:30am - 6:30pm **Must stay to close the office two nights
Tasks associated with this position may include:
· Scheduling within an EMR system
· Contacting new patients via phone and completing patient registrations
· Obtaining insurance authorizations via websites, phone and fax.
· Following up with insurance companies
· Inputting clear and organized data in our system
· Answering phones, printing documents, and scanning
· Greeting patients at check-in/check-out windows
· Collecting co-payments and establishing payment plans
· Reading clinical evaluations and completing ICD10 coding
· Tasking/emailing co workers and patients
Candidates should have:
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· A high level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidential information
· Strong computer skills and confidence navigating between screens
· Strong attention to detail
· The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
