Overview
The Rehabilitation Center for Neurological Development, located in Piqua, Ohio is seeking a dedicated, energetic, caring, permanent, skilled technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and spend many years working with us. You must have an exceptional work ethic. This role is essential in providing support to our participants, children and adults. The Technician will be responsible for assisting participants with their individualized program both physical and in a class setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with special needs children and adults. Will also have a basic knowledge of fine motor activities, sensory, cognitive development, play skills and academics. Must be able to team lift and have no physical limitations. The position is Monday thru Thursday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. No evening, weekends or holidays. You will receive paid personal/sick time, vacation days and paid holidays after a 30-day probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of the participants individualized motor program
- Learn about and implement individualized activities in the neuroeducational classroom setting
- Work in a team environment with other staff
- Assist with progress notes for all participants
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants during their individualized sessions
- Assist with daily housekeeping
Qualifications
- Experience working with children & adults with special needs
- Experience in a health-related field or school environment is desired
- Ability to interact with and respect clients of all ages and abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willing to learn & understand the neurodevelopmental & neuroeducational program
- Ability to implement the individualized program effectively while demonstrating empathy and patience
- Have the desire to make a difference in the lives of others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
