Patient Care Technician

At Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest we are passionate about patient care! We provide critical care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and has earned The Joint Commission’s Respiratory Failure Certification. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. At our 40-bed hospital, we are a free-standing, long-term acute care hospital serving patients in communities throughout the Inland Northwest.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

· C.N.A certification preferred; C.N.A certification required in SNF, SC setting.

· CPR Certification required

· One (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

· Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.

· Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of Infection Control and proper body mechanics

· Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.

· Utilizes policies, procedures, and guidelines in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

· Effective organizational and time management skills.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

· Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

· Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

Responsibilities

Working under the supervision of registered nurse, primarily responsible for providing direct bedside care to patients. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
