Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor for our Community-Based Clinical Support Program in Ulster County, NY. The supervisor would carry a ½ time caseload and be responsible for supervising the other mental health professional in the program. Responsibilities:
This position will be a full-time licensed mental health professional (LMHP) licensed by the New York State Education Department and operate within the practitioner’s scope of practice as defined in NYS law. These will include, but are not limited to: Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Clinical/Masters Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. This position will require a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Clinical supervisory role working with children, youth, and families.
The supervisor’s primary role would be the supervision of the team. This person would be working directly with the Ulster County Department of Social Services to accept referrals for the program and Coordinate with the referral source to assign the cases to the team. The Supervisor would meet with the family to complete an initial assessment for clinical service needs. Based on availability in the program, open the case as soon as there is an opening for the case to be assigned. The Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program and support the staff to ensure they have what they need to do their work effectively. The Supervisor will provide weekly clinical supervision to the program staff to ensure that the clinical and therapeutic needs are being met for all person enrolled in the CBCS Program. This Supervisor will maintain all tracking for the program to ensure that all NYS/HIPAA requirements are met and to ensure the fidelity of the clinical work being performed during services. This supervisor will review the charts/notes to ensure quality checks are in place during the time the case is opened for support.
This position requires the candidate be a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP). Position includes day and evening hours (as there would be on-call responsibilities for supervisors’ caseload – as well as possible on-call coverage for team member when out of the program).
Hours: Monday-Friday – 9am-5:30, with the understanding that the schedule would be flexible (at times) to the needs of the youth and families within the program.
Other Requirements:
Valid NYS driver's license and successful clearance by Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance.
