Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy) Technician

Rehabsource is looking to add a part-time Rehabilitation Technician to our therapy team in our nursing home in Altus, Oklahoma. This position can provide anywhere from 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility on hours and days worked, just as long as a consistent work schedule is maintained and you are reliable.

This position is a clerical/office position within a nursing home setting, working with rehabilitation therapists (Physical, Occupational, Speech) in patient care. The tech will assist our therapists with keeping up with emails, communications, paperwork and filing, answering phone, and disinfecting/restocking the therapy room. This position may help transport patients who are in wheel chairs, etc so there are physical requirements (50lbs lifting/moving). The applicant will spend time navigating through computer programs that include patient records and tracking therapist documentation for completeness. The applicant must understand the importance of HIPPA and have a good solid knowledge and understanding of computer use. The applicant may be asked to occasionally travel between facilities and to pick up supplies. A clean driving record and proof of auto insurance is required. Fingerprinting clearance will be required prior to employment.

Pay rate is $13 hour.

Requirements:

• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting clearance. Applicant will be required to have fingerprints taken through OSBI if not previously fingerprinted, which includes a $10 processing fee prior to emplyment.
• Facial mask may be required during times of Covid outbreak in the nursing home.
• Valid drivers license and car insurance is required, and clean driving record.

Strongly Preferred:

• Healthcare/Patient care experience
• Customer service
• General computer knowledge
• College coursework that demonstrates interest within the therapy/medical field setting will be given preference
