Why You Will Love this Job :
As a member of the Continuous Improvement team, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will lead and assist the Hattiesburg operations teams to drive improvement initiatives in both facilities by leading, training, and developing teams using Lean principles. Activities will include leading and facilitating improvement teams from various areas of the organization, conducting lean training, and driving implementation of action plans focused on achieving operational excellence in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Cost Reduction Projects : Identify opportunities and coordinate resources to achieve annual cost reduction goals.
- Process Improvement : Lead initiatives to analyze current processes, identify gaps, propose and test solutions, and sustain improvements.
- Program Implementation : Provide analysis, estimate resources, and prepare necessary documentation for approval.
- Mentorship : Guide associates in using continuous improvement tools and philosophies.
- Quality Collaboration : Develop and document standard methodologies for problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Strategic Input : Contribute to strategy development and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to relevant product compliance requirements.
- 5S Audit Management : Oversee the 5S audit program and ensure accountability for completing action items.
