Under the direction of the Sr. Channel Manager, the Marketing Channel Manager- Distributor/Dealer will be responsible for the development of channel management materials and activities. The channel includes distribution, dealers, direct accounts, and other marketing/sales channels. This position will drive new channel program activities and metrics aimed at improving overall channel performance. The Marketing Channel Manager- Distributor/Dealer will analyze and understand competitive landscape to give recommendations for the development of new channel partner relationships. This role will develop programs that advance existing distributor/dealer performance, including sales force, stocking indexes, cross-territory policies, performance rebates, and similar mechanisms to ensure proper management of the channel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives, programs and promotions targeted at all viable channels for PS products. Evaluate channel effectiveness for the sale and distribution of product; recommend changes, enhancements or expansion to new channels as warranted. Prepare an annual program plan and budget needs for all assigned channels.
  • Work in conjunction with Sales, AMPS, and Marketing leadership to create a dealer channel that delivers sales and service growth through proper use of performance tiers, product access, areas of responsibilities, AMPS expectations, and accountabilities against business plans.
  • Plan, forecast, and implement marketing programs/promotions for the channels. Include special promotions, buying opportunities, inventory stocking requirements, rebate programs, and ongoing support programs for product categories and market segments.
  • Create channel partner strategic plans that summarize all necessary metrics that drive growth. These plans include history, population data, install data, market coverage, branding, sales, service, facilities, aftermarket parts, training, distributor/dealer network, and other necessary information for each channel partner.
  • Conduct quarterly channel partner meetings and metric reviews. Conduct monthly channel meetings with sales teams to ensure alignment. Implement and oversee the execution of individual performance improvement plans for channel partners where performance is not meeting expectations, strategic plans, and other business metrics.
  • Understanding legal, regulatory, and compliance issues affecting Power Systems channel partners and their respective areas of responsibility. Lead necessary channel changes to support awareness and adherence.
  • Manage and create necessary policy and practices, dealer programs, distributor programs and other channel programs and guides as necessary; including channel onboarding, best practices, and specific guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing analyses and evaluations of performance of programs, trends, potential demand, and competition, making recommendations of necessary changes or additions to current channel partner territories, new channels to market, and other changes or additions to drive channel development.
  • Review and analyze distributor and dealer branding, websites, socials, paid media, etc. and work with Marcomm to standardize and assure Rehlko is properly represented.
  • Work in close contact with Advertising to develop promotional plans, advertising campaigns, catalogs, brochures, displays, exhibits, and other support materials to best support the channel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, or Sales, or Business is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of prior experience in sales, marketing, channel management, with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results are required.
  • 3-5 years of market experience in Power Generation or Heavy Industrial Equipment is preferred.
  • Understanding of generators, engines, ATS, and controls is not required but helps with channel relationships.
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience with P&L and/or budgeting is required.
  • Previous supervisory or coaching experience of direct reports is required.
  • Cross-functional experience and post graduate training in marketing or management preferred.

Proficiency And Language

  • Presentations and public speaking as required to channel partners, internal management, and others.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and proficiency in effective use of all Microsoft 365 products.
  • Keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail-oriented and be a demonstrably creative thinker.
  • Substantial skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.
  • English speaking/writing is required for this position.

Work Mode: Hybrid –2-3 days onsite

Travel required for meetings and development as needed onsite in Kohler WI

The salary range for this position is $107, 650 - $137150. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.  Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
