Job Description
Rehmani & Associates has an opening for a full-time experienced Estate Plan or Probate (2 Years in relevant practice) paralegal or legal assistant to join our firm in Tustin, CA. We are seeking a Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in probate, Estate Planning, litigation, conservatorships, or trust administration, and possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
We value work-life balance and offer a flexible work schedule. After a 2-month in-office training period, employees are eligible for hybrid work . Team members also have the option to work 8-hour, 9-hour, or 10-hour shifts, giving flexibility to enjoy either Fridays off or a half-day Friday, depending on the schedule selected.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Estate Planning Responsibilities:
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives, using estate planning software.
- Meet with clients during signing appointments to finalize documents.
- Maintain organized client files and ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform basic legal research related to estate planning and trust administration.
- Calendar client meetings, document signings, and internal deadlines using Outlook.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scanning, mailing, and filing documents.
- Accurately record billable time in firm billing software.
- Assist with drafting trust administration documents and correspondence.
Probate Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with probate , including managing and tracking assets, preparation of probate petitions, probate court filings, and litigation related matters.
- Assist with overflow of estate planning, including drafting estate planning documents and maintaining client files’
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and law and motion.
- Communicate with clients and other parties to schedule appointments, gather information, and respond to inquiries
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical files
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist with client intake
- Calendar court hearing dates and due dates on Outlook
Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program
- 2 years of experience in probate, trust administration, conservatorship and/or estate planning
- Experience billing your time with billing software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management program and billing software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong spelling, writing, and editing skills
- Ability to draft letters with general directions and guidelines
- Licensed Notary or willingness to obtain Notary license.
- Must meet minimum billable requirements (6hrs for a 8hr work shift)
Preferred, but not required if you meet the above qualifications:
- Experience with Conservatorships, Trust Litigation or Civil Litigation a plus.
- Excellent presentation and attitude to deliver customized service to clients
- Experience using Statular Estate Planning Software
- Experience using Actionstep Legal Software a plus
- Experience using One Legal
License:
- Paralegal (Strongly Preferred)
- Notary (Not Required)
