As a Golf Shop Merchandiser, you will play a key role in purchasing, maintaining an attractive, organized, and customer-focused retail environment. Your responsibilities will include managing product displays, ensuring stock levels are sufficient, and helping customers find the perfect golf gear for their needs. You will work closely with the retail management team to ensure that our shop meets company standards and offers a seamless shopping experience.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing: Creating and Open to Buy, Meeting with wholesale representatives and purchasing all soft goods and accessories for the golf shop.
- Merchandise the sales floor: Organize and arrange golf equipment, apparel, and accessories in an aesthetically pleasing manner that enhances the customer shopping experience.
- Maintain inventory: Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment orders to ensure the shop is always fully stocked with the latest products. Coordinate and complete quarterly inventory.
- Product knowledge: Stay up-to-date with golf equipment, apparel, and trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
- Customer service: Greet and assist customers, offering personalized suggestions and helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Display creation: Create eye-catching seasonal or promotional displays to attract customers and drive sales.
- Visual standards: Ensure the golf shop meets visual merchandising standards and is neat, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist in receiving shipments: Unbox, organize, and display new merchandise as it arrives in the store.
- Promotions and pricing: Ensure pricing and promotional signage are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain inventory: Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment orders to ensure the shop is always fully stocked with the latest products. Coordinating & completing the quarterly inventory.
Qualifications
- Previous retail merchandising or visual merchandising experience is preferred but not required.
- Passion for golf and a solid understanding of golf equipment and apparel.
- Strong attention to detail with a creative eye for visual displays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and product ordering.
