Medical Staff and Contract Coordinator - Medical Staff and Contracts Position Summary:The Medical Staff and Contract Coordinator plans, organizes and facilitates all functions within the Medical Staff Services office to include managing, monitoring, researching, screening, and updating all physician and allied health professionals' credentials. The Medical Staff and Contract Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the contracts database and annual contract evaluations ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory bodies. The Medical Staff and Contract Coordinator is also responsible for provider, service or employment agreements and related analysis. This includes MGMA comparison data and other clinic operational metrics as determined. The Medical Staff and Contract Coordinator is responsible for completing all additional duties as assigned.
Basic Summary:
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years’ progressively responsible administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a health care environment, required.
Required Licensure/Certification(s):
Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or become certified within one year of eligibility.
Certification in NCQA highly preferred.
