EDM Specialist

Reich Tool & Design is seeking an individual to play vital role in our Wire EDM department!

Up to $4000 Signing Bonus depending on skillset (paid incrementally)

Summary

As an EDM Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining electrical discharge machining equipment to produce precision components. Reporting to the Production Manager, your role is essential in ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes. You will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge and machining, alongside premium skills in CNC programming and GD&T, to meet production goals. Your expertise in precision measuring instruments will be vital for quality inspection, ensuring that all components meet stringent specifications. • Proficient in the use of Wire EDM’s with ability to use Espirit.
• Post program(s) from any programming station.
• Requires demonstrated skill and proficiency in the operation of various machines (four new Mitsubishi machines).
• Set up, secure work piece(s) and operate machine tools with limited supervision; Load and run programs on the shop floor machines; Make changes to a software program on the floor, if needed.
• Program 4 axis and solid model parts.
• Read and understand blueprints and G&M codes.
• Make all necessary fine adjustments to machine tool for critical work.
• Produce parts off the Wire EDM machines per print having knowledge of axis rotation.
• Use of a variety of precision measuring devices to inspect parts for errors.
