We have built business relationships with the medical industry, aerospace (parts on the International Space Station), lawn products, lighting, appliance leaders to name a few.
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Vice President/General Manager, the Tool & Die Estimating/Sales Engineer is primarily responsible to develop accurate cost estimates for custom metal stamping dies, engineering changes, replacement/spare components, and similar directly to the customer. This role plays a critical part in ensuring competitive pricing and profitability while meeting customer requirements and timelines. This individual will be involved with the sales efforts to achieve and sustain profitable sales growth and increased market share in Reich Tool & Design’s (RTD) served markets.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Central point of contact for customer requests – Central point of contact for customer requests – quotes, new dies, spare/replacement components and/or engineering changes. Calculating costs for material, labor, and other expenses based on technical specifications, project scope, engineering drawings, and customer specs and requirements
- Customer Intelligence and Relationships – Establish & maintain relationships with key customer accounts through frequent contact and occasional visits. Gather and maintain working knowledge of customers’ organizations, their needs/expectations, and develop key business opportunities. Translate this information into strategies/plans to optimize market share. Strong focus on total customer satisfaction and growth.
- Strategic Sales Development – Work with Director of Sales to develop and recommend market opportunities. Ensure that customers align with operational capabilities and fit our scope of work
- Sales & Profitability – Based on knowledge of internal costs and operations vs the competitive intelligence of the industry, achieve sales and net profit in accordance with company objectives.
- Other Core Duties – Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Create culture of open, trust, continuous improvement, and high-quality performance with internal and external customers.Work hours required to meet customer and companies timelines; Job typically requires 50 hours/week. Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives.Travel, as required.
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience and/or Training: 10 years in the metal stamping die, design and build industry. 3-5 years in estimating metal stamping dies 3-5 years prior experience in similar position. Basic financial understanding of P&L.
- Technology/Equipment: Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, intermediate computer usage.
