Overview of Responsibilities
- Accurately evaluates requests for radiologic procedures.
- Obtains patient history and symptoms.
- Performs radiologic procedures per physicians' orders in accordance with Radiology Department policies and procedures.Provides care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patients served.
- Provides explanation and instruction to patients regarding radiologic procedures.
- Demonstrates CARE Principles at all times in interactions with patients.
- Demonstrates effective communication with patients and families.
- Performs patient transportation as necessary.
- Initiates emergency measures as necessary.
- Administers contrast material in accordance with individual competency and the type and age of the patient.
- Properly preps patients for invasive procedures.
- Proper insertion of foley catheters.
- Properly performs venipuncture, placement of IV catheters, and Vein Viewer when indicated.
- Accurately performs appropriate documentation.
- Considers the whole patient including safety, comfort, age of patient, spiritual, cultural and religious practices, emotional needs/barriers, desire and motivation, physical and or cognitive limitations and language barriers in the implementation of care.
Education/Experience
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology with an Indidana license.
Certification: Current registration in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current CPR certification.

Day Shift. 40 hours weekly. Monday-Friday 7a-330p. On call as neededWhat We Offer
