Overview of Responsibilities
- Appropriately recognizes and reports abnormal assessment data.
- Collaborates with RN to create appropriate plan of care.
- Effectively carries out plan of care.
- Recognizes success of or modifies plan of care
- At the direction of the RN, initiates nursing protocols and standing orders as condition dictates.
- Appropriately communicates patient condition to the RN
- In collaboration with and at the direction of the RN, provides care based on identified needs.
- Demonstrates that she / he can work independently within scope of practice.
- In collaboration with and at the direction of the RN, works well with the multidisciplinary team.
- Uses appropriate resources – Primary RN, Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Directors, Administrative Coordinator, Pharmacy, etc.
- Demonstrates good time management by having no unjustified overtime.
- Informs supervisor when hours worked may accrue overtime and incidental overtime.
- Compliant with attendance policy.
- Offers assistance to team to maintain unit productivity – asks “What may I do to help you leave on time?”
- Collaborates with team and management to develop cost-effective solutions and improve workflow processes.
- Uses team huddles and check-backs to proactively report changes.
Education / Experience
Licensure Required : Licensure in the State of Indiana as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required
Schedule Details
Night Shift. 12 Hours Weekly. 7 : 00p-7 : 00a. weekend and holiday rotation.
