Teacher – School and Classroom Support and Intervention

Reidsville Middle School

 

Reports to: Principal

 

Terms of Employment: 10 months, State Salary Scale, Full Benefits

 

Purpose: To plan, organize and present instruction and instructional environments that help
students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social
development. Implement support and intervention on small and large scales to assist the
school and classrooms. Provide feedback to promote student mastery and growth through
school improvement initiatives, MTSS processes, and consultation regarding Title I
resources and events.

  • Successful classroom teaching experience
  • Applies rules and procedures that govern the handling of routine administrative matters, classroom
  • behavior management, intervention processes, and PLC/student support
  • Familiar with MTSS processes and procedures
  • Familiar with NCStar school improvement system and processes
  • Proficient in identifying appropriate re-teaching methods and strategies.
  • Proficient with implementation of instructional strategies and various tools to aid the instructional and
  • intervention process
  • Ability to analyze assessment data
  • Ability to assess school-wide needs and recommend Title I funding to support this area
  • Organize, monitor, and manage required Title I documentation
  • Assist with the organization of Title I events
  • Participates in School Improvement
  • Carries out non-instructional duties as assigned and/or as need is perceived; adheres to established laws,
  • policies, rules, and regulations; follows a plan for professional development, and demonstrates evidence of
  • growth.
  • Provides feedback to students to support growth and mastery of standards and concepts
  • Familiar with and supportive of school, district, and state initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
