Role Purpose
Responsible for all duties and tasks regarding a client’s movement of freight from the United States to foreign countries. The Vendor Consolidation Specialist is the single point of contact within Reilly for the clients they support and their vendors. This position requires extensive written and verbal communication, the ability to multitask, and a willingness to build enduring relationships with their clients.
Reporting Structure
This role will report to the Export Team Leader.
Specific Duties include, but are not limited to...
- Process purchase orders sent by client to their suppliers, provide shipping instructions for purchase orders.
- Receive and process purchase orders shipped by client’s vendors to consolidation location.
- Update internal systems with all received freight to maintain supply chain visibility for client
- Coordinate consolidation of orders into container shipments
- Working with suppliers, clients, carriers, and warehouses to resolve issues with shipments
- Ensuring timely updates or shipment details and updating system timely to meet deadlines and provide status of client’s orders
- Booking freight with logistics partners and/or Steamship Lines to secure movement of cargo efficiently to meet client’s expectations
- Processing the export documentation
- Proper and timely invoicing of clients
- Audit and approval of vendor payments
- Ensuring on time delivery of cargo
- Checking for delivery to foreign entity
- Basic knowledge of export regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule B.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and non-verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high degree of accuracy
Education and Experience
- 2 years of experience preferred in NVOCC, Freight forwarding or customs broker
- Working knowledge of CargoWise One logistics software is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
