Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages, focusing on psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals and groups
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Proficiency in acute pain management and behavioral health interventions
- Knowledge of infection control practices in healthcare settings
- Experience in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Ability to lift and assist patients when necessary
- Familiarity with senior care principles and cardiac catheterization procedures
