Description
Reineke Ford of Fostoria is currently looking for a working shop foreman.
An automotive shop foreman performs and assists with the day-to-day operations of an auto repair shop.
They are responsible for the quality and efficiency of repairs.
Responsibilities

Team management: Oversee a team of mechanics and technicians and self-manage their own workload.

Quality control: Ensure all repair work meets industry standards and customer expectations

Customer service: Address customer inquiries and complaints including test drive with customers, provide estimates, and explain repairs to customers, techs, advisors and management.

Parts: Assist in listing all needed parts for each repair including price, quantity and availability.

Administrative duties: Follow manufacturer and company policy and procedure for diagnostic steps, repair procedure, estimates and documenting repairs. Complete manufacturer training in a timely manner.

Repair work: Make quality repairs on cars, trucks, follow manufacturer repair procedures.

Work Experience: Prefer 5 years of industry work experience, Ford training and certifications is preferred but not a requirement. A willingness to obtain Ford Certifications is a requirement as training becomes available. Strong diagnostic ability is a must, self-motivated and a willingness to help others with repairs and tools needed.

Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency.

Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.

Perform routine inspections, system diagnostics, full automotive troubleshooting and testing

Explain mechanical diagnosis and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers

Inspect and test vehicles and record findings, so that necessary repairs can be made and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service

Valid driver’s license, clean, insurable, driving record
