What challenges can you expect?
Summary / Objective :
The Design Engineer will be a key member of the Reinhausen Manufacturing (RM) Engineering Team including the Humboldt, TN Production facility and the Engineering Group in Germany. The Design Engineer is part of a team for the new or further development or product maintenance of tap changers, selectors, drives or accessories (e.g. protection systems, electronic components and software). He is responsible for the independent processing of various, sometimes complex problems or has technical responsibility within the team.
Operative Tasks :
- Effectively and professionally communicate with internal (local and headquarter) and external customers
- Creation of extensive assembly families (from smaller assemblies to complete switches)
- Creation of 3D models from designs (efficient CAD / ECAD use)
- Creation of production drawings from 3D models (standard-compliant, correct material designations, tolerance specifications, etc.) or circuit diagrams
- Independent implementation of changes according to the process description
- Professional design of assemblies (tolerance specifications, assembly-friendly design, ...) or Design of extensive control systems
- Design and creation of individual parts (castings, plastic parts, tolerance determination) in consultation with experts and suppliers from concept to detailing
- Organization, creation and processing of construction and parts lists (kpl. Building program, relationship knowledge)
- Product knowledge, answering complex technical questions about the supported product (sales, service, customer, production)
- Technical problem clarification for special orders (research, compatibility checks, documentation...), control of the K0 process
- Proactive clarification and approval in the event of problems in procurement, production, assembly, ... and development of sustainable solutions to problems
- Implementation of complex systematic brainstorming, assessment of conceptual solutions (feasibility, cost-effectiveness, risk, ...)
- Independent preparation of tests in expert discussions with design team and testing facility in Germany and subsequent evaluation of the results
- Development of constructive solutions considering complex electrotechnical contexts
- Design of complex static and dynamic assemblies in cooperation with production or suppliers
- Design work in 3D CAD, consistent use of geometry data for FEM calculations (Design Space, Ansys), kinematic calculations and tolerance analyses
