Order Processing Engineer
What challenges can you expect?
Essential Functions
- Analysis of the technical design, the customer specifications and the configuration data in the customer order positions (product-oriented processing / delegation).
- Transfer and further detailing of the configuration data in the order bill of materials (BOM)
- Processing and checking of the order BOM, associated work steps and delivery-relevant positions
- Compilation and modification of the customer offer and order documentation in the ERP / CAD systems (creation and modification of wiring schematics, drawings, instructions).
- Interpretation, clarification and implementation of customer specifications for offers and orders, taking into account the delivery spectrum. For customer-specific special designs, early clarification of technical feasibility and economic efficiency by initiating the applicable processes
- Product standardization
- Processing and coordination of technical customer inquiries and questions from the Sales Teams
- Application consulting and clarification of the correct product selection.
- Processing of amendments within the complete process chain. Participate in the maintenance of order processing tools (e.g. SAP configurator, E3 / Zuken-CAD).
- Participate in / lead internal and cross-functional projects.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role using computer and phone; however, some visits to field will be required. This would require the ability to drive car, walk, climb ladders or scaffolding wearing PPE. 10-20% travel could be expected for this position, by car or plane.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. and occasional overtime / travel required.
