What challenges can you expect?
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing warehouse logistics processes, managing personnel, ensuring quality and safety standards, and improving operational efficiency through strategic planning and process optimization. This includes being the process expert for Reinhausen Manufacturing's Warehouse processes and ensuring proper training of personnel.
Strategic tasks
- Analyze, optimize, and develop strategies for warehouse logistics processes.
- Conduct value stream analyses and design to improve efficiency.
- Continuously optimize and develop the operational logistics chain.
- Develop personnel/headcount plans including training needs.
Operative tasks
- Lead operational logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Oversee goods receipt and inspection.
- Responsible for employee training and onboarding.
- Create work instructions and optimize logistics processes.
- Assist in developing and meeting key performance indicators.
- Monitor and improve quality standards related to inventory quality.
- Ensure workplace safety compliance.
- Act as the point of contact for MIR proposals.
Responsibility
- Manage employees and trainees.
- Oversee goods receipt as well as warehouse area.
- Train and develop personnel.
- Ensure warehouse processes get carried out in an efficient manner.
- Manage Warehouse budget and resources.
- Optimize costs related to inventory.
- Report Key Performance Metrics on a monthly basis.
What do we expect from you?
- Training as a certified purchasing and logistics specialist, industrial foreman, or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience in operational quality control and logistics.
- High level of commitment and assertiveness.
- Leadership qualities and a hands-on mentality.
- Positive attitude towards shift work.
- Forklift Experience
- Transactional proficiency in SAP (WM) or a comparable warehouse management system.
Education or studies
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering with a focus on Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification.
Experience and skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management and inventory control.
- Several years of experience in personnel management.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
