As a member of the Investment Data & Systems team, the Director of Investment Data Solutions & Operations will be a data professional focusing on the implementation and support of the investment data strategy. As part of this role, this individual will lead a team of analysts in the development of systems and processes for data sourcing, data validation, data mastering and data dissemination. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT on new project initiatives including the development of data modeling, data integration and data dissemination standards for investment data.

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. As a member of the Investment Data & Systems team, the Director of Investment Data Solutions & Operations will be a data professional focusing on the implementation and support of the investment data strategy. As part of this role, this individual will lead a team of analysts in the development of systems and processes for data sourcing, data validation, data mastering and data dissemination. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT on new project initiatives including the development of data modeling, data integration and data dissemination standards for investment data.
What You Will Do
- Lead the creation of data modeling and data integration standards to be used to support investment data.
- Collaborate with IT on the design and development of web forms to support data collection across the department.
- Design and build data quality and validation processes to ensure the accuracy of investment data before loading to downstream systems.
- Implement data management processes, analysis, and monitoring to support the investment data management program.
- Work with IT on the creation of data models and architecture to support investment data.
- Lead the team that will oversee the ongoing care and feeding of systems and processes for data management.
- Lead the development of materials for business and operations teams on data stewardship and best practices for master data management.
- Support projects and initiatives that drive the Investment Data Strategy
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics or equivalent working experience
- 7 years’ experience in Data Architecture & Governance INCLUDING
- 5 years’ experience as a liaison to IT as a system Product Owner
- 5 years’ experience developing data models and architecture
- 5 years’ experience working with operational data stores or an enterprise data warehouse
- Asset Management\Investments industry knowledge
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio, Bloomberg, MarkitEDM, or other Data Management Platform
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of data management and associated software / tools
- Intermediate knowledge of broad investments operations and market data
- Well organized with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage changing priorities
- Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
- Ability to manage a team of data analysts to support the investment data strategy
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Advanced SQL/Query Skills
- Advanced knowledge of data architecture and data modeling
- Intermediate Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Tableau
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C#, etc.)
- Experience with software development lifecycle
