Overview
RGA is in search of a Summer Intern to join USIL Data Analytics and Retro teams. The intern will be assisting with various projects including, but not limited to SSTD drop-off reviews, auto after FAC treaty reviews, and mortality variance reviews. The intern will also be preparing reports, running queries, and performing data analysis. In addition, the intern will be preparing claim docs (recoverable claim process), reviewing record retention, handling retro connection requests (data redaction and document uploads), updating admin treaty information, preparing pending claim reports, and preparing accrual journal reconciliation reporting or other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes client company data for compliance with treaty terms and systemic reporting issues.
- Reviews and analyzes data quality trends for information on the RGA Administration System.
- Perform mathematical calculations to confirm SSTD drop-off compliance with treaty agreements.
- Organize documents to complete reporting requirements.
- Reviews and analyzes accrual journal information from the administration system to the General Ledger.
- Perform reviews on existing record retention to identify potential data risks and record removal opportunities.
- Insights as asked and required to complete tasks.
- Research skills as needed for projects.
- Typing, Excel, and communication, skills as needed
- Summarization and reporting
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or similiar discipline.
- Basic Word and Power Point skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Exposure to computational finance, statistics
- Intermediate oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to share and impart knowledge
- Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in team projects
