Systems Engineer II

Contract to FTE hybrid role, must be based in Seattle area
Position Summary :
RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in our Seattle headquarters. We are looking for an experienced IT professional who is strong in current data center and cloud technologies, a great trouble-shooter and thrives in a collaborative and challenging environment. This role is critical part of the team that delivers the scalable, reliable and secure operations of all facets of the IT infrastructure that drive our business.
Job Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain an enterprise caliber virtualized environment on prem, with VMware, and in the cloud.
- Manage Microsoft services including Entra, Azure AD, O365 / M365, and Defender.
- Perform day-to-day operations and management of Windows Servers, virtualization infrastructure, storage systems and cloud-based resources to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Monitor and analyze system metrics to enhance efficiency, performance and availability.
- Collaborate with IT and Service Desk staff to support operations of IT systems.
- Documentation of system configuration, IT processes, and procedures.
- Manage, maintain and upgrade storage systems including on prem SAN and NAS systems, as well as cloud storage.
- Manage our Identity and Access Management with Entra, formerly Azure AD, and other enterprise tools.
- Deep knowledge of O365 and the administration of the Microsoft enterprise product suite.
- Monitor and maintain system security and antivirus software in conjunction with IT Security.
- Plan, design, and implement technologies in support of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC / DR).
- Support on-site, off-site and cloud-based datacenter operations and engineering.
- Documentation of technical processes and procedures, and as-built documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
