Attorney

Reiss & Nutt is a small but very active civil litigation firm handling a broad range of cases that include complex business litigation, contract disputes of all types, real estate litigation, serious personal injury, and family law. Our practice is about evenly split between representing plaintiffs and defendants. Our team is looking for the right fit for a fourth attorney.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated aptitude in civil litigation by education, training, or experience, is coachable, enjoys constant learning, and desires challenge. We seek potential, not necessarily a finished product, and offer a great deal of experience to an attorney looking for professional growth.

Within the first year, we expect our new attorney to argue motions, take and defend depositions, interface with clients, perform consultations, and produce the full array of pleadings, discovery, and other documents necessary to take a litigation matter from complaint to trial.

Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as negotiations and litigation
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Present cases in court and argue on behalf of clients
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop case strategies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
