Position: Elementary Assistant Principal
Reports To: Elementary Principal
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule: 52 Weeks (3 days/week in the summer)

Job Summary:
The Elementary Assistant Principal plays a vital leadership role in supporting the Elementary Principal in fostering a Christ-centered educational environment. This position assists in guiding and supporting students, faculty, and staff while ensuring the implementation of a Biblically-based curriculum that aligns with the mission of Rejoice Christian School. The Elementary Assistant Principal promotes academic excellence, spiritual development, and character formation in students while maintaining a structured and nurturing school environment.
Qualifications:
- Must be a committed Christian and demonstrate a Christ-centered lifestyle.
- Member in good standing of a local church.
- Demonstrated spiritual and organizational leadership.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience.
- ACSI Certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain).
- Completion of the Christian Philosophy of Education course (ACSI).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and proficiency with Google Education Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Essential Functions:
Leadership & Staff Support
- Assist the Elementary Principal in hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff.
- Provide instructional coaching, classroom management support, and professional development opportunities for teachers.
- Encourage and equip staff to integrate biblical principles into instruction and school culture.
- Serve as acting Principal in the absence of the Elementary Principal.
Student Support & Discipline
- Support teachers in addressing student behavior, discipline, and academic needs.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with students and parents.
- Oversee student discipline, ensuring a Christ-centered approach that fosters spiritual and character growth.
- Collaborate with the school counselor to implement character development programs.
Curriculum & Academic Oversight
- Assist the Elementary Principal in evaluating and implementing curriculum.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers in curriculum planning and instructional strategies.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and student placement decisions.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Frontline and Paycom systems for all campus employees, including scheduling substitutes and tracking attendance.
- Monitor and process payroll-related records for substitute teachers.
- Assist with student recruitment, retention, and placement.
- Maintain and oversee the CarRider Pro dismissal system for efficient student pick-up.
School Culture & Community Engagement
- Foster a Christ-honoring school culture that supports the spiritual and social-emotional well-being of students.
- Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and staff to maintain strong school-family relationships.
- Attend school functions, performances, athletic events, and administrative meetings to engage with the school community.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- This is a safety-sensitive position; employees may be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise students for extended periods.
- Lift and move materials up to 25–30 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach to assist students or access materials.
- Clear verbal communication and hearing abilities for student and staff interaction.
- Visual acuity to assess student work and classroom materials.
