Position: Spirit Store and Spirit Trailer Coordinator

Status: Stipend

Job Summary:
The Spirit Store & Spirit Trailer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the school’s spirit store operations, including the storefront, online store, and mobile spirit trailer. This role supports and promotes school spirit through effective inventory management, customer service, merchandising, and marketing. The coordinator will collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure merchandise aligns with school branding and fosters community engagement.

- Proficient in G Suite, Microsoft Office, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Retail management experience preferred, with a solid understanding of inventory and sales processes.
- Experience in marketing, merchandising, or branding is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school departments, committees, and vendors.
- Capable of managing logistics for the spirit trailer, including setup and transportation.
Essential Functions:
Store & Inventory Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the spirit store (on-campus, online, and mobile trailer), ensuring a smooth and efficient retail experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors (e.g., Eagle Wing, Field House Apparel, Midwest, Spirit Society) to maintain stock.
- Partner with a committee to source and select new merchandise that aligns with the school’s brand and values.
- Manage all aspects of ordering, pricing, receiving, and displaying merchandise.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and sales using POS systems.
Spirit Trailer Operations
- Coordinate trailer setup and transportation in collaboration with the Event Director, ensuring its presence at major school events (e.g., Partners’ Meetings, Homecoming, Field Day).
- Schedule and oversee trailer openings, ensuring a professional and inviting shopping experience.
- Keep the trailer organized, fully stocked, and in alignment with the overall spirit store presentation.
Marketing & Sales
- Work with the Marketing/Communications Director to create and implement strategies to boost store and trailer visibility and sales.
- Leverage digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, and promotions to increase engagement.
- Design attractive product displays for both the store and trailer to enhance visual appeal.
Customer Service & Community Engagement
- Provide excellent service to students, parents, staff, and guests.
- Build relationships with school teams, clubs, and organizations in partnership with the Development Director to promote involvement with the store and trailer.
- Plan and coordinate special promotions, sales events, or collaborative opportunities that foster school pride.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- This is a safety-sensitive position; employees may be required to undergo drug or alcohol testing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise boxes up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to load, unload, and transport merchandise for the trailer.
