Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Risk Management and serve as contact for auto liability claims, property damage claims and insurance records.Assist to determine liability, perform routine and specialized tasks related to adjusting self-insured retention liability and property claims including processing reports concerning damages against Reladyne. This includes providing, collecting, and processing claim forms, physician work status forms, and a multitude of other documents.
- Assist in maintaining Certificate of Insurance (COI) compliance.
- Report claims timely and provide ongoing status reports. Identify if subrogation exists and takes steps necessary to initiate recovery efforts.
- Coordinate interviews and meetings involved with incidents or claim investigations.
- Serve as a liaison among team and company personnel advising employees on established policies, procedures, guidelines, and completing incident and claim forms.
- Collect, prepare, and distribute pertinent notices to relevant departments and third-party administrator, management, and vendors.Effectively phone, speak, correspond, and confer with employees, other departments and the general public, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and third-party administrators.
- Responsible for file management in the electronic risk information management system, including timely and accurate input of claims related information, document scanning, upload, and storage.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets as needed and maintain strict confidentiality of information and records.
- Attend meetings as requested; may be required to take meeting minutes.
- Performs general office duties, which include special projects, operating a computer workstation, answering phones, or any other tasks that fall under the Risk Management sections umbrella. May perform all or some of the responsibilities, included but limited to any other duties assigned by the Risk Manager.
- Crosstrain and serve as back-up for workers’ compensation claims management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative support role in a corporate environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ knowledge and experience working with insurance claim process and associated handling
- Risk Management/Workers Compensation/Auto Liability experience.
- Exercise exemplary independent judgment and initiative, maintain a high degree of confidentiality, and maintain professional demeanor and composure in stressful or confrontational situations. This position is a point of contact for all levels of employees, so a professional, pleasant, and helpful demeanor is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform and prioritize and meet deadlines, multi-task and maintain an excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programs
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Licensed Adjuster
