Job Summary
The Sommelier is responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests of Triple Creek Ranch. This position encompasses all aspects of wine and beverage service in the dining room, including ambiance, cocktail/beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverage service, as well as food service under the direction of the Beverage Manager.

The Sommelier is responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests of Triple Creek Ranch. This position encompasses all aspects of wine and beverage service in the dining room, including ambiance, cocktail/beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverage service, as well as food service under the direction of the Beverage Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a positive and energetic environment that supports the delivery of an exceptional guest experience.
- Maintain the extraordinary five-star TCR image and resort appearance, including all service, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
- Sell wine and spirits and accurately record information on guest's invoices.
- Avoid overserving guests and adhere to the TC Ranch alcohol policy.
- Never serve minors alcoholic beverages.
- Approach guests' tables with a polite and open manner, offering services and recommending beverages.
- Describe, recommend, and serve various beverages from around the world.
- Assist in creating wine pairings on the floor and Chef's Table wine pairing/service.
- Keep a full-time presence on the floor to refill wines and beverages and answer questions.
- Support service staff in taking orders and delivering food and beverages as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Frequently move about the dining room and use hands to open and pour wine.
- Occasionally use cleaning equipment to maintain a clean and polished environment.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wine and other beverage selections and ranch information.
- Lift and carry boxes, equipment, and other items weighing up to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Possess an alcohol server certification valid in the state of MT or obtain one within 60 days of hire.
- Hold a minimum certification of Introductory Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers or other relevant certification body, with certified certification preferred.
