Program Overview
Our Summer Rotational Supply-Chain Internship Program is a 3-month immersive experience designed for students eager to gain hands-on exposure in supply-chain operations. Interns will rotate across three key departments within the supply-chain division:
- Planning: Gain insights into demand forecasting, lead time planning, and purchase planning.
- Sourcing & Procurement: Learn about researching new suppliers, price negotiations, purchase order management, and quality control compliance.
- Logistics: Understand inbound vs. outbound flow, warehouse operations, and transportation management.
This rotational structure allows interns to develop a comprehensive understanding of supply-chain functions while contributing to real-world projects and problem-solving initiatives.
Program Roadmap
During the internship program you will be spending three weeks in each of the departments learning about the intricacies that make the Supply-chain division a success at Relatable. After the rotation is completed, you will participate in a cross-functional project and present your findings to leadership.
- Month 1: Immerse yourself in a fast-paced business environment while assisting departments with daily deliverables
- Month 2: Take a deeper-dive into specific business topics and identify challenges that disrupt work-flow
- Month 3: Work on a cross-departmental project providing root-cause analyses, data-driven solutions, along with measures and controls to gauge results and impacts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily operations across Planning, Sourcing & Procurement, and Logistics.
- Shadow and actively participate in training sessions and meetings across various supply chain departments.
- Analyze data and generate reports to support supply-chain decisions.
- Work on inventory planning, supplier coordination, and logistical efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply-chain processes.
- Lead a strategic supply-chain project and present findings to leadership.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year university with a concentration in Supply-Chain, Finance, or Business.
- Basic understanding of supply-chain concepts such as lead time planning, MOQs, purchase plans, inventory management, and inbound vs. outbound logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with data analyses and dashboard tools is a plus.
