Relate Search has been retained by a fast-growing AI SaaS startup to add an experienced UX Leader to their team. The Head of UX will lead the design of the user interface and experience by turning complex workflows into elegant, intuitive solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Define and direct the UX strategy: Enhance the user experience by defining and executing a cohesive UX vision that aligns with business objectives.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to design intuitive workflows for sophisticated AI-driven features, ensuring simplicity and clarity for users.
- Develop a design aesthetic that reflects the brand’s values: clean, modern, and professional.
- Champion user research, usability testing, and feedback loops to deeply understand the needs of private equity professionals and other key personas.
- Build, lead and mentor a world-class UX/UI design team while remaining hands-on in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. This role requires you to balance leadership with individual contributions to ensure a consistent and innovative design vision.
- Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-friendly designs.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Establish and maintain a design system and UX guidelines to ensure consistency across the platform.
Required Skills:
- A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to craft stunning, functional designs for complex SaaS products.
- Proven experience simplifying complex workflows and translating them into intuitive user experiences.
- Experience leading UX teams and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the work ethic and resilience required to succeed in a fast-paced start-up environment, with the ability to adapt and thrive in the face of ambiguity and rapid change.
- Understanding of front-end development and design systems; ability to collaborate effectively with engineers.
- Expertise in user research, usability testing, and designing for diverse personas and use cases.
- 7 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least a few years in leadership roles, showcasing both strategic vision and hands-on design expertise.
- Background in AI, and/or the alternative investment sector is a strong plus.
