Relative Dynamics Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team. As a member of the Sustaining Engineering team, you will collaborate with a team of engineers dedicated to tackling complex challenges in the launch-test range. Together, you will develop and implement solutions to support the needs of the US Space Force and its customers.
This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position is not eligible for a regular telecommuting schedule.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Provide detailed architecture expertise ensuring compatibility with ground systems.
- Perform on-site reviews of components, logs, serial numbers, and report results.
- Critique and recommend changes to manuals, test procedures and test reports in accordance with tailored requirements.
- Attend technical interchange meetings, design reviews and review test data.
- Witness testing at the vender/lab facilities.
- Provide technical assistance to Range Users on test requirements and methodologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in technical, computer science, engineering, or other STEM-related field
- 0 to 2 years experience in engineering, data analysis, or related technical discipline
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using computer systems, software or tools for data analysis and manipulating data in different coordinate systems.
- Experience with Range Safety Systems (RSS) preferred.
Required Skills:
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills with specific emphasis on attention to detail.
- Must be self-motivated to work independently.
- Must be able to operate under a timeline driven process environment and be able to solve problems.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Ability to travel approximately six times a year throughout the Continental U.S., sometimes with limited notice
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
- Valid U.S. Drivers License
