Job Summary:
Relax & Company is looking for Master Plumbers to join our team. The Master Plumber is responsible for performing a variety of plumbing tasks by communicating with homeowners and other members of the team. A key aspect of this role involves embracing and learning the company’s protocols while also actively contributing expertise to enhance team knowledge. Given the significance of being the primary contact for clients, strong communication skills are imperative, aligning with the company’s top priority. This position reports to the MEP Manager.
Primary Duties:
Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at scheduled sites.
Perform installation of plumbing systems at new properties.
Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at scheduled sites.
Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.
Inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs to HVAC systems related to plumbing (e.g., boilers, water heaters, etc.).
Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains.
Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.
Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clients.
Manage work order and purchase order processes as outlined by Relax & Company protocols.
Skills:
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to use proper hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage effectively.
- Must be able to uphold the highest level of confidentiality with client relationships.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn company software, including Slack and Google Calendars/Docs/Sheets.
- Works well under stressful situations.
- Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems and installation.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems as they relate to plumbing installations (e.g., water heaters, radiators, boilers, etc.).
- Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing systems that may be interconnected with HVAC units, particularly those involving water flow or heat exchange.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a formal apprenticeship with licensing.
Experience with residential plumbing systems is necessary, and experience with commercial is a plus.
Experience with full boiler installations preferred.
Licenses:
Valid driver’s license.
For Master Plumber: Valid NH Master Plumbing License.
Physical Requirements:
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
Physical strength when performing heavy labor is required. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time.
