Job Overview
The Director of Growth will play a critical role in scaling our business, driving strategic initiatives across marketing, sales, and product/service development to accelerate growth. This person will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive growth strategies to expand the company's market share and drive sustainable revenue increases. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing a tech startup or scaling a small to medium-sized business (SMB) in the B2B space.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement an integrated growth strategy across multiple departments, including marketing, product, and sales, to drive both short-term and long-term business growth.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Use data analytics and insights to inform decisions around customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Continuously evaluate and optimize campaigns, channels, and messaging to achieve performance targets.
- Customer Acquisition:
- Identify and execute innovative strategies to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and lifetime value. Develop omnichannel marketing campaigns that resonate with the target audience and scale efficiently.
- Sales Enablement:
- Partner with the sales team to improve the lead qualification process, increase the conversion rate, and streamline the sales funnel. Implement tools and processes to help the team perform at its best.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus but not required.
Key Qualifications
- Proven Track Record:
- 7 years of experience in growth, marketing, or business development roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within a tech startup or SMB (preferably in the B2B space). Demonstrable experience scaling a business or driving rapid growth in a B2B environment.
- Analytical & Data-Driven:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Sales & Marketing Alignment:
- Experience collaborating closely with sales teams to develop and optimize lead generation, sales enablement strategies, and customer lifecycle management.
- Growth Hacking Mindset:
- An entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving, with a deep understanding of growth hacking techniques and lean startup methodologies.
- Leadership:
- Demonstrated experience leading and scaling teams, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional collaboration.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Execution under Pressure:
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under time pressure or with limited resources.
- 5 years of experience in a startup or SMB, in a key Growth/Sales/Marketing role.
