Director of Marketing
OVERVIEW
The Director of Marketing at Relay will play a pivotal role in driving our B2B sales growth by implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy and building an effective growth engine to generate a substantial number of sales leads. This position will report to the President and will be responsible for overseeing all marketing activities to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive revenue growth.
This is a senior-level position with significant expectations relating to quality of work, team and project management, and the ability to generate sales leads at scale to expand the company’s market share. This in-office role is based in Dallas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy Implementation . Implement and improve the current marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Lead Generation and Demand Creation . Develop and implement lead generation strategies to drive a consistent flow of high-quality sales leads. Utilize omnichannel marketing channels, including digital marketing, content marketing, events, partnerships, lead generation teams, and more, to drive demand for Relay's products / services.
- Manage Team . Expand and lead a high-performing growth / marketing team by providing guidance, setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Oversee hiring, training, and development of marketing team members to ensure a skilled and motivated team capable of achieving growth / marketing objectives at scale.
- Brand Management . Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all marketing channels and company communications to strengthen brand identity and customer perception.
- Performance and Analytics . Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and provide regular reports and insights to the executive team. Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns and customer acquisition strategies for better performance and ROI.
- Collaboration and Alignment . Work closely with sales, resource management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with company goals and objectives. Collaborate with the sales team to develop integrated sales campaigns and pipeline conversion improvements that drive revenue growth.
- Budget Management . Develop, manage, and optimize the marketing and media budget to achieve maximum return on investment while maintaining cost efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a growth / marketing team at a tech startup or SMB. In particular, a proven record of scaling and growing revenue of a business is paramount.
