FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY: A leading health system is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer (senior level) to build and manage enterprise-scale container platforms. In this fully remote position, you will implement and deploy robust Kubernetes clusters while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical applications. Working closely with development teams, you will drive DevOps excellence and implement best practices for container orchestration. - Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support diverse applications and services.
- Automate infrastructure processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize DevOps processes, integrating Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), automating application deployments, and providing guidance on containerization best practices.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of Kubernetes environments through continuous monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain best practices for container orchestration, deployment, and management

- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and management Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification is highly desired).
- Extensive experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Familiarity with AKS and ACR is beneficial.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ansible, Bitbucket Pipelines).
- Solid understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architectures.
- Experience working with distributed systems, Linux software packaging, and networking/security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable, cloud-native applications.
- Health system or other highly regulated environment experience is preferred.
