Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechatronics Engineer located in San Jose, CA at Relentless Adrenaline. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining electromechanical systems, troubleshooting electronics, and conducting repairs. Your day-to-day tasks will involve integrating electrical engineering principles with mechanical systems to create efficient and innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering skills
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair of electromechanical systems
- Proficiency in Electronics and Electromechanics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent technical communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with programming and robotics is a plus
- Develop hardware from initial conceptual stages through to final bring up
- Contractor will be responsible for the development of hardware associated with the desired Robot setups specified by the Vendor at the commencement of work and be responsible for the complete design cycle from concept through construction and implementation per vendor specifications.
- Contractor will comply with, and is responsible for reading, understanding, and clarifying vendor specifications.
- Contractor will inform the manager of potential safety risks and provide suggestions on how to mitigate them.
- Apply varying levels of engineering disciplines (i.e. mechanical, electrical, software) to assess the current state of robots and make recommendations to improve efficiency or solve technical problems
- Contractor will leverage their knowledge and experience to holistically assess all robots and setups.
- Contractor will make recommendations on suggested improvements to current setups and implement approved recommendations.
- Independently assess projects, vet complexities, and understand goals to determine the most effective project plan including but not limited to relevant engineering approaches to foreseen technical problems
- As appropriate, Contractor will review all project plans and approaches with manager to ensure the approach aligns with Vendor standards
- Assess various projects and determine the best and most efficient engineering approach in achieving and exceeding robotics team assignment requirements, as approved by his / her manager.
- Cover all aspects of a project's requirements from conceptual design, analysis, 3D CAD, drafting, BOM generation, fabrication, assembly, testing through to report documentation

Pay Range is 129k-169k depending experience
