We are seeking a Director of Public Affairs and Strategy to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in public affairs and a deep understanding of media relations, branding, and campaign management. The successful candidate will be adept at navigating complex political landscapes, crafting persuasive public narratives, and driving policy-related communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and lead comprehensive public affairs strategies that enhance the company’s reputation and align with business objectives.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and the public to build relationships and advance the company’s interests.
  • Oversee the creation of impactful messaging and content for various platforms, ensuring consistency with brand voice and strategic goals.
  • Direct crisis communication efforts, providing swift and effective strategies to maintain the company’s image during critical events.
  • Conduct high-level audience research, utilizing focus groups and polling to inform campaign direction and messaging.
  • Lead and mentor a team of public relations professionals, fostering an environment of creativity and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to integrate public affairs into broader corporate strategies.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of public affairs campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for future initiatives.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in public affairs, media relations, or a related strategic communication role.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading successful public relations campaigns and managing a team.
  • Strong understanding of the political environment and experience in advocacy or policy communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with an analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
