The Mobile Application Developer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of mobile app development, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to translate requirements into high-quality, user-friendly mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Solid understanding of the mission, programming content and audience of Relevant Radio.
- Design and develop mobile applications for Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) platforms or other language as determined necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure application security across both platforms. • Integrate third-party APIs and services into mobile applications.
- Work with backend technologies such as Node.js, MongoDB, and SQL databases.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Optimizing application performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience. • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications on various devices and operating system versions.
- Lead the execution of the project roadmap with quarterly updates and deliverables.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications are current and competitive.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's best practices and standards.
- Manage and coordinate with external consultants for larger projects and lifts as necessary.
Qualifications
- Catholic. Active faith life in accord with teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in mobile app development for both Android and iOS platforms.
- Proficient in Kotlin and/or Swift programming languages with a willingness to learn to be an expert
- Knowledge of JavaScript and experience with Node.js, React, Python, MongoDB and SQL a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be accurate, have an eye for detail. Must have normal color vision.
- Valid driver’s license required. Ability and willingness to occasional travel.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud services and API integrations.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems.
- A portfolio of published mobile applications is desirable.
