Requirements For The Construction Inspector
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
- 8 years of experience in inspecting construction activities, or an equivalent combination of education, military service, relevant work experience, or supervisory roles.
- May need to secure clearance for access to government, military, or privately-controlled sites.
- OSHA 10-hour certification is required; OSHA 30-hour certification is preferred.
- ACI Level I certification.
- Additional certifications may be required or desired upon hire, with the ability to obtain them post-hire.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet the organization’s vehicle insurance and travel policy requirements.
