Prioritized Must Haves For The Tax Manager
#1. Minimum of 5 years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm REQUIRED.
#2. CPA required for Manager level (Supervisor role does not require CPA)
#3. Experience in one or more specialized areas/industries
#4. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, Master's degree preferred
#5. Strong corporate tax and/or high net worth individual background and technical skills

Requirements Of The Tax Manager
- At least 5 years of recent experience in taxation within a public accounting environment is essential.
- CPA certification is mandatory for Manager-level roles (not required for Supervisor-level roles).
- Excellent team leadership skills, with a focus on motivating, guiding, and developing staff.
- Proven ability to serve as a role model for colleagues, thanks to both professional demeanor and technical expertise.
- Experience in specialized industries or areas is an asset.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, with preference given to candidates holding a master’s degree.
- A well-established or growing reputation in industry-specific areas, along with a network of professional contacts and key influencers.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate tax and/or high-net-worth individual tax matters.
- Teleflex schedule: They can choose to work remote, hybrid, or in office.
- The candidate would be located in Akron/Cleveland however we are open to all of Ohio (not looking for candidates outside of OH at this time)
