Requirements Of The Textile Designer
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or Graphic Design
- Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience in print & pattern (preferably leather goods or accessories)
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong illustration or painting skills
- Team player attitude and strength in building positive working relationships
- Strong sense of color and color palettes
- Experience in trend forecasting
- Ability to be creative and technical
- Understanding of the design and development process from inception through final adoption
- Proactive problem-solving and information seeking-skills
- Strong Multi-tasking skills and adaptability
- Experience communicating and collaborating with factories
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
- Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented
- Broad understanding of the leather goods or accessories industry *Preferred*
