We have partnered with an IT Services and IT Consulting company in the Washington, D.C area to provide them with a Cloud Operations Engineer - REMOTE. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Cloud Operations Engineer :
1. Must have Active Secret Clearance to be considered
2. Must have Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other Linux distributions exp.
3. Must have scripting languages like Python, Perl, or any shell scripting language like BASH.
4. Must have Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS CLI, SDKs, and other automation tools.
5. Must be Proficient in using Ansible configuration management and automation.
6. No more than 4 jobs in the last 10 years.
Requirements of the Cloud Operations Engineer :
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Eng or related (highly preferred)
- 6 years of experience
- Solid experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other Linux distributions.
- Proficient in scripting using languages like Python, Perl, or any shell scripting language like BASH.
- In-depth experience building, troubleshooting, and maintaining AWS services, especially EKS, and other AWS native services like Lambda, EC2, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Proficient in using Ansible configuration management and automation.
- Experience with RedHat IDM for identity management and HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS CLI, SDKs, and other automation tools.
- Familiarity with standard DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins / GitLab, Git, Nexus, Sonarqube, Terraform, etc.
- Ability to work with US Federal clients and possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance
- Desired Skills :
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-driven and capable of working with minimal oversight.
- Team player, providing technical guidance while working with a team to achieve mission objectives and transparency of issues with assigned leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to take the initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong team player with a great attitude
- Flexibility and willingness to go beyond the call of duty. Highly self-motivated and directed. (a go getter)
